Jimmy's been DJing for quite a long time now ( thats him on the left with Your A Star Winner David O Connor) and is on the wrong side of 45. He has worked in every aspect of the hospitality industry, starting as a barman and working as a waiter and door man and so on..... He started his DJ career way back in the 80,s and is still going strong today. He just loves music, all kinds of music, from 50's rock and roll right up to this weeks chart. One of his dreams came true when he worked on Carlow Local Radio, a pirate station and the radio link remains till today thanks to Bagenalstown Festival Radio or River FM where he's been doing the Breakfast show every year. He got into karaoke a few years ago and discovered he had quite a talent for it as the work came rolling in. No matter what the gig Jimmy's done it all, weddings birthdays christenings hen nights, corporate functions etc etc and he's had the pleasure of playing before and after some great acts such as The Conqurers, the Indians, Aslan, Bagatell, The Whole Shebang, The Big Geraniums and some famous 80's bands, Matchbox, Racey, Bad Manners

Jimmy's philosophy is" DJing is a job you have to love, the pleasure of keeping a crowd on the floor dancing all night is amazing, when people come up at the end of a gig and tell you they had a great night and really enjoyed the music, thats what makes it all worth doing"

 Pictured here with the one and only Brush Shiels, Martin at 27 is the youngest member of the Bettersounds team. Having been around the game since he was 13 he decided in 1999 to go pro as a DJ and has not looked back since. Although young in years(28) he has a fantastic musical knowledge, and has proved this week in and week out while entertaining audiences of all ages. From weddings to 21st's and niteclubs to 70th birthday parties Martin is guaranteed to keep the party going all night long. In 2007 Martin got his chance to show a wider audience what he could do by being given the opportunity to host a radio show for a local festival radio station. This was a one hour show for the younger generation and this year he was promoted to a 3 hour show from 10pm each night. Martin has played in some of the top venues around including The Tower(Carlow) Sky Venue(Port Laois) Langtons(Killkenny) The Radisson Hotel(Athlone) Druids Glen Country Club(Wicklow) and played for a variety of crowds including celebrities and sports stars.
