Thursday Feb 26th saw Barmondays Portlaoise hold the first heat in a bid to find a guy and a girl to represent them in the Laois final May 15th Sky Venue and hopefully to go forward and represent the county in the Irish final TBC. A packed house saw nine contestants take part, which showed huge interest in this competition. As usual the talent was very evident but only two could go forward to the final. Congratulations to Vinni Doheny and Sinead Clancy who the judges eventually picked to go through. Just a quick note to those who failed to qualify on Thursday, you can enter again as many times as you want until you do make it through. We urge contestants to fill out the application forms handed out on the nights of the heats as soon as you get them. The quicker you fill them out the quicker you can sing.
