Barmondays heats are over and our contestants are heading for SKY VENUE on the 15th May for the Laois County Finals. There will be a great night with loads of different things going on and some superstars making guest appearances. Tickets are on sale now.

We were back in Barmondays on Thursday March 5th holding heat number 2 to find Barmondays representatives for the Laois final. Out of the large crowd in attendance 4 people put their names forward to compete. The standard of singing was excellent again and the judges took their time in selecting one male and one female to go on to the Barmondays final (tba). The male winner was John Doheny and the female winner was Josie Malone. Next Barmondays heat will take place this Thursday March 12th at 9pm. I will post pictures in the coming days.

Thursday Feb 26th saw Barmondays Portlaoise hold the first heat in a bid to find a guy and a girl to represent them in the Laois final May 15th Sky Venue and hopefully to go forward and represent the county in the Irish final TBC. A packed house saw nine contestants take part, which showed huge interest in this competition. As usual the talent was very evident but only two could go forward to the final. Congratulations to Vinni Doheny and Sinead Clancy who the judges eventually picked to go through. Just a quick note to those who failed to qualify on Thursday, you can enter again as many times as you want until you do make it through. We urge contestants to fill out the application forms handed out on the nights of the heats as soon as you get them. The quicker you fill them out the quicker you can sing. Anyway enough from me for now see you at the next qualifier.
